His professional affiliations include Adventist Bolingbrook Hospital, Presence Saint Joseph Medical Center, and Little Company of Mary Hospital and Health Care Centers.

In his practice, Dr. Majmundar strongly believes in a deeply rooted connection between emotional well-being and physical health. He believes establishing a good patient/physician relationship is invaluable for proper diagnosis and choice of treatment. In his approach, Dr. Majmundar spends more time with his patients to learn about them and circumstances surrounding their health issues. In Dr. Majmundar’s own words, “it is important that patients know they can depend on me to be there for them; my goal as a practitioner is to provide them with the best healthcare possible.”

Currently, Dr. Majmundar is among the first gastroenterologists trained and certified by the Apollo Endosurgery to perform Orbera® gastric balloon procedure in Chicago. Dr. Majmundar’s decision to dedicate himself to assisting patients in weight loss through behavioral change stems from his belief in a holistic approach to treatment. As he explains himself, “every day I see patients who struggle with conditions caused or exasperated by expanding waistlines; it is my duty as a physician to treat not only symptoms but also causes of the conditions affecting my patients.” Knowing how many of his patients struggle with losing and keeping the weight off, Dr. Majmundar believes that Orbera gastric balloon along with its behavioral management program can help many to live healthier and happier lives.
