Andrew, Lost 174 lbs
My name is Andrew and my “Bandiversary”, as I endearingly call the day of my surgery, is November 8th of 2008. It has been two years since my lap-band procedure and I have lost a total of 174lbs. Two years ago I knew I had to do some something, but I didn’t know what that something was because I had tried all diets available to me from prescription medications, restrictive diets, to cleansing programs that promised dramatic results in only two weeks.

DayOne Health was able to work with my insurance provider and supported me through all of the pre-op tests that are required for surgery. Two months after making the call to the center I was scheduling my surgery date. On the day of surgery I was in the office in the morning and on my way home in the afternoon. The recovery time and discomfort was minimal and the most important thing for me is that I was able to recover at home where I was with friends and family.
The surgery hasn’t changed the person that I am. It has let the real me shine. Now I am pain-free and enjoy a very active life. The biggest difference is waking up and knowing that today I am going to love life not just live life.
