Neller, Lost 115 pounds

Neller's Success Story I struggled with my weight pretty much my entire life – ever since I was 9 years old. I tried everything I possibly could to loose weight and keep it off with no success – over the counter and prescription weight loss medications, weight loss programs such as Weight Watchers, fad diets, exercise programs, even starving myself to loose weight. With each attempt, I would loose weight, but it would eventually creep back on. Over 10 years, I gained 100 pounds!

I was hungry all the time – the more I dieted, the more I thought of food; I was disgusted with myself. My last attempt to lose weight permanently was following my father's 5-way heart bypass surgery. My father has also struggled with his weight and has unfortunately suffered many heath problems as a result – high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, and high cholesterol. I realized that my future very possibly would mirror my father's if I didn't loose weight and keep it off.

As a result I started an amazing journey that led me to long term weight-loss success! I made the decision to have the Lap-Band procedure and my life was forever changed.

Unfortunately my insurance did not cover the procedure, but I didn't let it stop me. I financed my lap-band surgery and with the results I've experienced I would have paid double! I'm worth every penny!

Following the lap-band procedure, I was uncomfortable for a few days, but I was back to work in a week. The post-op diet was a challenge, but with an end in sight, I was fine. I now eat a normal diet, instead of eating all the time and never being satisfied, I eat small portions and enjoy every bite! I enjoy desserts and pizza in moderation and love to eat salads and bread.

When I weighed 300 pounds I missed out on so much and I was tired all the time, I was unable to perform daily tasks and enjoy simple pleasures – even running errands was difficult. The little things in life are now the most important to me, running up the stairs with a basket of laundry and not being winded, going for a hike with my family, shopping for cute clothes, going to the movies and being able to fit in the seat.

I've lost 115 pounds and have kept it off for 2 years!
